Mahadev  Desai Public School was started in April, 1998 and originated from the old  building of Mahadev Desai School (A State Board School) which was founded  by our Hon’ble Founder Chairman  Shri Jagdish Prasad Sharma on 18th  April, 1947. It was the first high school of the then Gurgaon District. This  school had the unique distinction of being visited by Dr. Rajender Prasad First President of India, Pt. Jawahar  Lal Nehru First Prime Minister of India,  Smt. Indira Gandhi & also by many great Statesmen, Governors, Chief  Ministers, Ministers, Administrators and Educationists. These high dignitaries  appreciated the services of the school for providing free education to the  students displaced from Pakistan after partition and also for the people of Faridabad/  Ballabgarh / Palwal Tehsils.

 Mahadev Desai Public School is managed by a social service organization known as Mahadev Desai Gram Sudhar Mandal, a society registered on 4th May, 1954. Our School society has two campuses of total 10 acres of land since 1947 located in the heart of sector 16A originally known as Lachhman Bagh which is at a distance of about 200 meters from Mathura Road. Out of the total land, 2.25 acres of land is earmarked for Mahadev Desai Public School which is now a Senior Secondary School affiliated to C.B.S.E. with Non-Medical & Commerce faculties

                  Our School  has natural environment with big lush green lawns and school building is  adorned by greenery all around with lots of plants. Our school has big  playgrounds for out door games like cricket, football, basket ball, volley  ball, badminton etc., a big hall for cultural activities and indoor games and  spacious and well ventilated class rooms, fully  equipped Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Computer laboratories and a big  library with 3844 books, magazines, periodicals & subject books etc.

Mrs. Neelam Dureja is the Principal of the school a visionary and strong leader  with high values, who never let her dreams die. We have highly qualified,  experienced & hard working staff which includes music, dance, art &  craft and other activities teachers.

                  The school  consists of Primary Wing, Secondary Wing, Senior Secondary Wing, a new  Administrative Block on the stage of completion. The school focuses on the  holistic & all round development of the child along with inculcating the  moral values for making them good citizens of our countries.                  

                  The school operates in an innovative environment  that provides opportunity for flexibility, creativity and value addition in  education. We have interactive smart classes, Volleyball court, Basketball  court, Badminton court, Football court and a State level Cricket Academy.
