Sh. Jagdish Prasad Sharma
  • Born in Village Beri the then Tehsil Jhajjar, Distt. Rohtak  on 6th May 1920 in an ordinary Teacher/Farmer family, Father Sh.  Piarey Lal a renowned Mahajani (Accounts) Teacher, Mother Smt. Shriya Devi, Housewife.
  • Middle/Metric Chirawa Rajasthan, Inter Birla College Pilani , BA Banaras Hindu University in 1942.
  • Left Higher Studies and took part in “QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT”of 1942 as an underground freedom fighter at grave risk of life.
  • Married to  Smt. Chanderwati Devi on 30.05.1940.
  • Opened about 100 village schools as Inspector of Schools under the patronage of Shri Shuk Dev Pande, Secretary Birla Education Trust, Pilani. Shri Shuk Dev Pande was the Founder of Birla Educational Institutions at Pilani.
  • In 1998, founded Mahadev Desai Public School affiliated to C.B.S.E., which is now a Senior Secondary School.
  • He organized Social Welfare activities amongst Harijans and Kisans and earlier worked for the rehabilitation of displaced persons from Pakistan in Faridabad. Mahadev Desai School was the first High School of the area and due to its unique services to the cause of education it was visited by Dr. Rajender Prasad, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Thakur Dass Bhargava, N. V. Gadgil, Mata Rameshwari Nehru, Dr. Kailash Nath Katju, Babu Jagjiwan Ram, Smt. Indira Gandhi, Dr. Gopi Chand Bhargava, Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, Giani Gurmukh Singh Ji Musafir, Sardar Ujjal Singh, Sir Chandu Lal Trivedi & Smt. Kusum Trivedi, C.P.N. Singh, Krishna Nair, Dr. M.M. Das, Lala Jagat Narain, V.N. Gadgil, Bhajan Lal & many other high dignitaries.
  • As Distt. Convener of Bharat Sewak Samaj, organized two Youth Camps in 1948-49, at Village Tigaon Distt. Faridabad for Boys inaugurated by Dr. Kailash Nath Katju , the then Home Minister of India and another camp inaugurated by Shri Krishna Nair MP.  
  • As Distt. Convener of Bharat Sewak Samaj, organized one Youth Camps in 1948-49f or girls in Village Pali Distt. Faridabad inaugurated by Mata Rameshwari Nehru, the Chairperson of Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi. Also undertook other projects on voluntary basis .
  • Incharge of State reception committee of Sant Vinoba Bhave during his Bhoodan Pad Yatra in Punjab in 1960 and also participated in his Bhoodan Pad Yatra.
  • Member Punjab Pradesh CONGRESS COMMITTEE (1948-55).
  • Nominated by Congress from Ballabgarh Joint Assembly in 1952 but withdrew at the Behest of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji for Kedar Nath Sehgal.
  • Distt. Convener Bharat Sewak Samaj Gurgaon Distt. (1948-55).
  • Member Faridabad Project Advisory Committee (1948-55).
  • Member Distt. Local Self Govt. Co-ordination Board Gurgaon.
  • First President of Bata Shoe Co. Workers Union, Faridabad.
